Welcome to Mindful Tai Chi

Mindful Tai Chi aims to make Tai Chi accessible to as wide a range of people as possible. As well as classes for the general public we also offer specific sessions for people with a variety of health related issues.

There is a strong and expanding research base detailing the beneficial effects of Tai Chi for a number of chronic health problems and we offer bespoke groups for those with balance and mobility difficulties, stress and anxiety, Dementia, Parkinson's Disease and arthritis. Students with insomnia, depression, high blood pressure, asthma and COPD also report improvements in their conditions from attending Mindful Tai Chi groups.

Workshops are also available in corporate and educational fields and for the Tai Chi student interested to learn the Long Form, Broadsword, Spear, Push Hands and the original Fast Form.

Mindful Tai Chi reflects an approach to teaching and learning based on the central importance of conscious awareness of movement. In this process real changes can be made that will beneficially support the best possible functional movement in a relaxed and calm state.

I hope that you find what you need on this website. If you would like to discuss ways in which Mindful Tai Chi may be of benefit to you as an individual or to your organisation please do not hesitate to contact us. For existing students there is also a downloads section containing video clips and teaching materials which might be of help when learning Tai Chi. Feedback is always welcome and you will see within the website testimonials from people who have benefited from studying Mindful Tai Chi.
